Description
Description
Upgrade the exhaust flow and thermal management of your Porsche 911 992 with these Performance SS304 Downpipes with Heat Shields. Designed for compatible 992-generation Carrera 3.0T and Turbo S 3.8T applications, the system replaces the factory downpipe sections with freer-flowing stainless steel components built for performance-oriented street and track setups.
Manufactured from durable SS304 stainless steel, each downpipe features an integrated metallic heat-shield covering to help manage radiant exhaust temperatures within the engine bay. The smooth-flowing pipe geometry is designed to reduce exhaust restriction and provide a more direct exhaust path from the turbocharger area toward the rear exhaust system.

Features
- SS304 Stainless Steel Construction: Manufactured from corrosion-resistant stainless steel designed to tolerate the high temperatures and demanding conditions of a turbocharged exhaust system.
- Integrated Heat Shields: External metallic heat shielding helps reduce radiant heat transfer toward surrounding engine-bay components.
- Performance-Oriented Exhaust Flow: Designed with smoother exhaust routing to reduce unnecessary restriction compared with the factory downpipe assembly.
- Turbocharged Engine Application: Intended for compatible Porsche 911 992 turbocharged powertrains, including Carrera 3.0T and Turbo S 3.8T configurations.
- Mandrel-Style Pipe Routing: Smooth bends help maintain exhaust cross-sectional area through the pipework for consistent gas flow.
- Sensor Provisions: Includes connection points for applicable factory exhaust sensors according to the selected vehicle configuration.
- Performance Exhaust Upgrade: Suitable for vehicles using upgraded cat-back exhaust systems, ECU calibration, or other supporting performance modifications.
- Durable High-Temperature Construction: Stainless construction and external shielding are designed for prolonged exposure to elevated exhaust temperatures.

Fitment Note: The Porsche 911 992 Carrera 3.0T and Porsche 911 992 Turbo S 3.8T use different powertrain and exhaust configurations. The correct downpipe version must be selected for the exact vehicle model, engine, and model year before ordering. Do not assume the same physical downpipe assembly is interchangeable between the 3.0T Carrera and 3.8T Turbo S.
Installation
Installation requires removal of the factory downpipe assemblies and access to the turbocharger-side exhaust connections. Due to the location of the components, exhaust sensors, fasteners, heat shielding, and tight engine-bay clearances, professional installation is strongly recommended.
After installation, all exhaust joints, sensor connections, clamps, and mounting points should be inspected for proper alignment and leaks. Depending on the downpipe specification and catalytic-converter configuration selected, ECU calibration may be required.
Emissions & Road-Use Notice
Exhaust and downpipe regulations vary by jurisdiction. Performance downpipes may affect emissions compliance, warning-light operation, factory warranty coverage, and road legality depending on catalytic-converter specification and local regulations. Verify local requirements before installation or road use.

Care Guide
Regular Inspection: Periodically inspect the downpipes, clamps, mounting points, sensor fittings, and surrounding heat shielding for looseness, exhaust leakage, or heat-related wear.
Clean Stainless Steel Surfaces: When the exhaust is completely cool, clean exposed stainless steel surfaces using a soft cloth and a suitable automotive metal cleaner. Avoid highly abrasive products that may damage the finish.
Monitor Heat Shielding: Check the external heat shields periodically to ensure they remain securely attached and are not contacting surrounding components.
Allow the Exhaust to Cool: Exhaust components reach extremely high temperatures during operation. Always allow the system to cool completely before cleaning, inspecting, or servicing the downpipes.
